Dr._Donato.jpgLeonard Donato, VMD
Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Avian Practice
Since the age of five, Dr. Donato dreamed about becoming a veterinarian. After studying for four years at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and four years at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, he attained his longtime goal.  As a student, Dr. Donato was responsible for the medical and surgical care of animals at the University of Pennsylvania Wildlife Service. After completing his studies, Dr. Donato was an Associate Veterinarian at Rothman Animal Hospital from 1996 to 2000. His caseload included traditional and non-traditional pets.

As a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians (A.A.V.), Dr. Donato lectured at several national conventions.  Throughout his career he has been actively providing continuing education opportunities for veterinarians, veterinary students, and veterinary technicians.

In February 2001, Dr. Donato became the owner of Radnor Veterinary Hospital. He treats dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rodents, amphibians, hedgehogs, sugar gliders and other non-traditional pets. Dr. Donato’s areas of interest include orthopedics, endoscopy, and wildlife & exotic pet medicine and surgery. Dr. Donato lives in Rosemont, PA with his wife, Marianne, daughters, Lena and Christina, and son, Joseph.  The Donato family shares their home with three rescued animals: a boxer named Roxie, a pug named Rose, and a persian cat named McLovin.  Dr. Donato enjoys martial arts, table tennis, and hiking on the Appalachian Trail

Dr._Szanto.jpgJeffrey Szanto, VMD
Dr. Szanto holds degrees from Columbia University, the University of Chicago, the University of New Hampshire, and the University of Pennsylvania (Veterinariae Medicinae Doctoris). He is a twenty-year resident of Wayne, PA and, much to his amazement, is now old enough for both of his children to have graduated from college. Since turning over the reins of Radnor Veterinary Hospital to Dr. Donato, he is enjoying the quality of his existence more than ever. In addition to having more time for the important things of life, like playing squash, taking trips to Italy, reading the classics and, most important of all - serving as doorman and butler to his dog and ragdoll cat, Dr. Szanto is enjoying his ability to now focus 100% of his time at work on the practice of veterinary medicine.

Dr._McGrath.jpgMeghan McGrath, VMD
Meghan is a graduate of U. Penn School of Veterinary Medicine.  She holds a Masters degree in Chemistry from Villanova, and a B.S. in Chemistry from Rowan University.   She has 3 cats: Fezig, Tigger Pooh and Aggie; a rescued pug named Grizzie, another rescued pug named Obey One Eye Kenobi, a rescued boston terrier named Finn, another pug named Molly, and one husband named Dave.

Dr._Bowers.jpgKimberly Bowers, VMD
Kimberly Bowers joined Radnor Veterinary Hospital in the beginning of 2010.  She is originally from Philadelphia and received her BS in Biology and Chemistry at Chestnut Hill College.  She graduated from University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.  Since then, she has been practicing small animal and exotic animal medicine and surgery, as well as emergency medicine and sugery.  She has been active in the Delaware County community visiting schools, participating in vaccination clinics, and helping a variety of rescue groups and shelters.

Dr. Bowers' home is filled with loving and wonderful pets: two dogs, a harelquin great dane named Krystal, and a pitbull mix named Tonka Toy; five cats, a blue front amazon parrot, a red corn snake and two box turtles.  Most of her pet family were rescued pets in need of a home.

When not helping animals (which does not leave much time), Kim loves spending time with family and friends, traveling and enjoying the great outdoors with activities such as hiking, camping and kayaking.
