www.anapsid.org  Melissa Kaplan's Herp Care Collection - numerous articles on care and husbandry of many common reptiles kept as pets

http://www.animalnetwork.com/reptiles/home.aspx - Home site of Reptiles Magazine, offers species profiles, subscription information, and links to books and other products

http://netvet.wustl.edu/reptiles.htm - Offers an extensive list of reptile links

www.arav.org. Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians - This group consists of vets, vet students, and veterinary technicians that have an interest in reptiles and amphibians. Look under "Publications" to access some useful information sheets on topics of interest to reptile owners and admirers. They also have a list of links to other sites.

http://www.reptilecare.com/ The private site of a reptile aficionado, this site has pictures of several common species kept as pets, links to care information, and book recommendations. This site is somewhat less scientific than some of the other sites but offers very practical tips. It also includes basic equipment lists for popular reptiles, along with expense estimates.

http://www.amphibiancare.com/ The private site of an amphibian aficionado, this site contains pictures, care information, and recommended reading for many species of amphibians commonly kept as pets.

 

Recommended Books:

Iguanas for Dummies by Melissa Kaplan. This book offers lots of practical information in an easy-to-absorb format and can easily be obtained from any of the larger book sellers, online and in person.

The Iguana : An Owner's Guide to a Happy Healthy Pet by Karen Rosenthal, DVM, DABVP.  Written by a well-known exotic animal veterinarian, this book provides basic information on iguana care
